Snow plummets to earth

seeking mission impossible.

Snow surrounds me in tornadoes

ripping up blankets of sand along with it.

A once heavily trodden path refamiliarized with the trod of footsteps,

the crunch of our boots comforting,

it drowns out the slight whistle of the wind.

Arriving at the beach and my friends smile

white teeth even whiter than the snow.

“Its like you can see infinity”

I feel the freeze of the snow

my teeth start to chatter,

the whistling wind stops.

I can hear my heartbeat,

is is strange that I have a heartbeat?

My hands going numb,

I look over at my friends,

they stare at the sky.

“It’s about time we go”
